Keronite Group Ltd. Was incorporated in 2000 and owns Keronite International Ltd in the UK and Keronite Inc. in the USA. We are headquartered near Cambridge in a purpose-built production facility.
Our majority shareholder is Azini Capital Partners Llp, who along with private investors continue to support Keronite in its evolution to maintain its position as the worlds most advanced surface treatment for aluminium, magnesium and titanium. Alexander (Sandy) Smart
Sandy joined Keronite in October 2006 as a non-executive director. He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Economics, is a Chartered Engineer and has previously been CEO of a small engineering group. He has been involved in private equity for over 30 years and was a director of Citicorp Venture Capital (now CVC) and PPM Ventures. Sandy is now a Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Westbridge Capital LLP and holds a number of directorships in engineering and technology businesses.
Paul is a Partner of Azini Capital Partners LLP. He is an MBA graduate of Henley Management College in the UK, has a degree in Physics and has over 20 years’ experience in General Management and Board level positions in technology and engineering enterprise
Matt Joined Keronite in October 2013. He started his career in the automotive sector working for leading OEMs responsible for key account management and business relationships. More recently Matt has worked in the aerospace sector where he has held several senior management positions with global responsibility for multi-site sales and commercial functions.
Steve studied at the University of East Anglia. He has a 1st class honours degree and was awarded a PhD in surface physics technology in 1985. Steve started his career as an engineering consultant in Cambridge working on a wide variety of technology projects. He then joined Lotus Cars Ltd as an engineer before being promoted eventually to Head of Sales and Project Management of the Engineering Division working with many of the world’s leading carmakers. He joined Keronite in December 2002 to reinforce the commercial effort, particularly in the automotive industry, before being appointed Chief Technical Officer and later Chief Operating Officer.
Ian Joined Keronite in November 2012. He is a Chartered Management Accountant and has a 1st Class degree in Accounting & Finance from Nottingham Trent University. He has spent his career in manufacturing business finance, initially with Courtaulds Textiles PLC including positions in France, Spain and the USA. Ian was also the FD in a management team that completed the sale of a private food service company to a PLC and set up the finance and admin operations from scratch for a start-up distribution subsidiary.
Dr. Robin Francis is Chief Technical Officer and is responsible for leading Keronite’s technology development programs. Robin is a chemist and materials scientist by training and holds a Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Oxford. Prior to joining Keronite Robin held a number of senior roles in technology companies including as the CTO of a fuel cell developer and the interim CEO of carbon capture start-up. Robin has also held senior roles in strategy consulting at Arthur D. Little and Sagentia where he focused on innovation and growth strategies.
