About Us

UndercarriageKeronite Group Ltd was incorporated in March 2000 as a limited company in England and Wales. Following a successful fundraising, the company established its international headquarters at Granta Park, Cambridge, UK and then due to the popularity of Keronite moved to a larger, purpose-built facility in Haverhill in June 2012.  Our main shareholders include Azini Capital and Hotbed as well as a range of private investors.

The Keronite technology originated in Russia, where it was developed as part of the space program.   In 1998 a new company was set up in the Isle of Man and the intellectual property relating to Plasma Electrolyte Oxidation (PEO) technology assigned to it. This company became the basis of the Keronite business of today.

A local technology incubator company, now Flintstone Technology plc, funded the further development of the process, ensuring that it could be scaled up successfully and become cost effective on a commercial basis.

Keronite is the only globally deployed, environmentally clean and commercially viable version of PEO on the market.  Today the company provides a wide range of services from the development of original application solutions, through the provision of prototype and development support, to the production of pre-launch quantities, start-up and full scale productions.

Customers can get access to the technology through Keronite's own facilities, through its network of licensed partners or where appropriate through technology licensing, where Keronite can offer a complete system solution.  Keronite designs and builds the power supplies and processing units at the heart of the technology and formulate and manufacture the electrolytes, which form the other main component of the process.

The company operates successfully in a variety of industries where there is a growing desire to use lightweight aluminium, magnesium and titanium alloys in even the most demanding environments.

With around 30 employees globally Keronite has its headquarters and technology centre in Cambridge UK and its own service centres in Europe, North America and mainland China.  In addition the company has a growing network of experienced partners with strategically located production facilities.
