Keronite Power is all about managing electrical properties of the coating. As a ceramic, Keronite is a natural insulator and can be used to give high levels of dielectric strength over a very low thickness. Combined with its moderate thermal conductivity and low thickness, this makes the coating an ideal candidate for insulated metal substrates and other thermo-electrical uses.
Today, we can also provide a Keronite coating that offers low electrical resistance combined with corrosion protection. This makes it effective as a replacement for chromate, nickel, copper and other coatings to provide earth bonding between adjacent components. Keronite Power is available on aluminium, magnesium or titanium alloys.

Thermal transmission or thermal barrier can be provided by varying composition of the coating. Thermally stable up to 900c and thermal conductivity of 0.8 – 10 W m-1 k-1.
