Keronite awarded AS9100 & ISO 9001 compliance certifications

27th September 2019 – Haverhill, United Kingdom – Keronite can announce that the company has been awarded AS9100 & ISO 9001 compliance recertification. The standards demonstrate the company’s ability to consistently provide products and services that exceed customer and regulatory requirements, especially in an aerospace context.

With an ISO 9001 certification, Keronite’s customers receive assurances in key areas; including quality, consistency and safety. Adhering to the standard is indicative of optimal productivity and efficiency, and increases access to markets, as well as improving market share and sales.

Published specifically for the aerospace industry, an AS9100 certification demonstrates quality assurances regarding the design, development, production, installation and service of aerospace industry products. Assessments review processes in an aerospace context; certifying products in key areas such as safety, airworthiness, product conformity and reliability.

Keronite’s coating technology lends itself to the aerospace industry, and is utilised by clients from the aircraft, space, and satellite sectors. AS 9100 certification indicates quality of delivery for existing customers, while at the same time increasing Keronite’s marketability within the industry.

The achievements follow a period of growth for Keronite, who have been successful in demonstrating scalable compliance; exhibited in developments such as a new technology centre opened in Cambridge, and a new magnesium duplex coating line in Greenwood.

Keronite have enhanced their compliance standards in line with key revisions made to the certifications. The certification now demonstrates increased stringency in areas such as product safety, product realisation and planning, counterfeit part prevention, as well as human and awareness factors.

The AS 9100 now covers design development, supplier management and configuration management; assuring that the company are able to maintain quality compliance while commanding an expanding client-base, escalating market share and sharp increases in demand.
